1. Acknowledgement of Risk
I understand that participation in cooking classes, culinary training, and related activities at Sayuri Healing Food involves inherent risks.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Burns, cuts, and similar kitchen-related injuries
- Slips, trips, and falls on kitchen or event surfaces
- Use of sharp tools, hot equipment, and open flames

I voluntarily choose to participate and accept full personal responsibility for any risks, injuries, losses, or damages that may occur during my participation.
2. Footwear & Attire
Sayuri Healing Food recommends wearing closed-toe shoes or Crocs-style footwear during all kitchen and training activities. Bare feet and open-toed sandals are permitted but strongly discouraged in active kitchen spaces.
Participants are expected to wear appropriate attire: fitted or tucked clothing, covered shoulders, and nothing loose enough to catch on equipment or create a hazard. Long hair must be tied back. Jewellery on hands and wrists should be removed before handling food or equipment.
I acknowledge that:
- I have been informed of the footwear and attire recommendations and their safety rationale
- Should I choose not to follow these recommendations, I do so entirely at my own risk
- Sayuri Healing Food bears no responsibility for any injury resulting from my footwear or clothing choices
3. Health, Insurance & Personal Responsibility
I confirm that:
- I am in adequate physical health to participate in cooking and related activities
- I will inform staff prior to participation of any allergies, dietary restrictions, injuries, or medical conditions relevant to my safety
- I hold valid personal health and accident insurance covering participation in culinary training activities, and I take full responsibility for ensuring such coverage is in place before attending

- I will follow all safety instructions provided by instructors at all times
4. Professional Conduct & Emotional Responsibility
Sayuri Healing Food is an inclusive and welcoming environment. All participants are expected to engage with a professional, respectful, and constructive attitude throughout their time at the Academy. Instructors will not adjust the pace, content, or standards of training to accommodate personal preferences or emotional discomfort.
I acknowledge that:
- I take full personal responsibility for my own emotional and psychological wellbeing during participation
- Sayuri Healing Food is not liable for any psychological discomfort, emotional distress, anxiety, or related reactions arising from participation in classes or activities
- If I have a known history of anxiety, panic attacks, or similar conditions, it is my responsibility to assess my own readiness to participate and to seek appropriate professional support independently
- Disruptive behaviour, unprofessional conduct, or failure to maintain a respectful attitude toward staff and fellow participants may result in removal from the programme without refund
